A. E. Housman Quotes on man

A. E. Housman

A.E. Housman (1859 - 1936) was an English classical scholar and poet. He is best known for his lyric poetry collections A Shropshire Lad (1896) and Last Poems (1922). His poetry was inspired largely by his rural upbringing and his melancholic views of life and death. Most of his poems were written in simple, accessible language and often dealt with themes of mortality, unrequited love, and longing. His works remain highly influential in modern poetry and have been used in many literary works in the 20th and 21st centuries.
