She is considered the best-selling novelist of all time, making her one of the most successful authors ever. She has been nicknamed the "Queen of Crime" due to her original Detection Club, which she founded in 1930 with a group of crime authors in order to create and propagate the genre of crime fiction and mystery. Christie also wrote under various pseudonyms like Mary Westmacott, as well as collaborated with other authors. Her stories have been adapted into numerous stage plays, TV shows, and films.
