Al Sharpton
Al Sharpton is an American civil rights leader and television/radio talk show host, best known for his involvement in the fight against racial injustice. He has been an outspoken advocate for civil rights throughout his career, and is credited with helping to shape the conversation surrounding police violence, racial profiling, and the Black Lives Matter movement. He is the founder and president of the National Action Network, a civil rights organization that works to “promote a modern civil rights agenda that includes the protection and enforcement of civil rights, criminal justice reform, education reform, voting rights, healthcare reform, economic justice and ending police violence.”
