Albert Brooks
Albert Brooks is an American actor, comedian, author, and director known for his comedic performances and films. He was born in 1947 in Beverly Hills, California and began performing stand-up comedy in the 1970s. He has continued to appear in films and television, both in acting roles and as a writer, producer, and director. He is best known for his roles in films such as The Muppet Movie (1979), Lost in America (1985), Defending Your Life (1991), and Drive (2011). He is a three-time Academy Award-nominated writer and actor. Brooks has been nominated for five Golden Globe Awards and won one Emmy. He also received two American Comedy Awards, a BAFTA Award, and six Writers Guild of America awards.
