Alex Kapranos
Alex Kapranos is a Scottish multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer, and the lead vocalist and guitarist of the band Franz Ferdinand. Born on 20 March 1972 in Almondsbury, Gloucestershire in England, he is known for his work in the rock and pop genres. He won a Grammy award in 2005 for the song "Take Me Out", which was the lead single from Franz Ferdinand's eponymous debut album. Kapranos has also worked with various other bands including Flaming Lips, Mclusky, Swell, Iggy Pop, and has produced for music acts such as Primal Scream and Belle and Sebastian. In 2017 he released his solo album FRARIC.
