Alphonso Jackson is an American politician who has served in various public service positions, most notably as the United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 2004 to 2009 under President George W. Bush. He is currently the President and CEO of The American triple I Partners, a Washington DC-based infrastructure investment management firm. Prior to his tenure at HUD, Jackson held various public service positions, including Commissioner of Birmingham, Alabama’s Housing Authority, Deputy Secretary at the Department of Energy and associate executive director of the Dallas Housing Authority. He also served on the advisory board of Habitat for Humanity International, the policy advisory board of the Alexandria, Virginia and Inova Health Systems and the board of directors of National Industries of the Blind. In addition, he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
