Alvar Aalto was a Finnish architect and designer known for blending modernism with organicism and Scandinavian Regionalism. His work was influential in the modernist style of architecture, incorporating natural elements and materials that contrasted with the minimalist aesthetic of modernism. Aalto built a variety of structures, including churches, libraries, theatres, embassies, and university buildings. He also designed furniture, textiles, and glassware, among other works.
