Alvin Lee

Alvin Lee (born Graham Barnes; 19 December 1944 – 6 March 2013) was an English rock guitarist and singer, best known as the lead vocalist and lead guitarist for the British blues rock band Ten Years After. Lee began playing guitar as a youth and eventually worked with a band called Jaybirds, which recorded a few singles in the early 1960s. He then joined Ten Years After in 1967, recording and touring with them for the following decade. The band's most popular album, A Space in Time, was released in 1971, which featured the hit song "I'd Love to Change the World". Lee also appeared at the Woodstock Festival in 1969. In addition to his work with Ten Years After, he released several solo albums, the most successful being Still on the Road to Freedom in 1972. Lee died in 2013 at the age of 68.
