Angela Bassett is an award-winning American actress, director, and producer known for her powerful and commanding performances in critically acclaimed films such as Boyz N the Hood (1991), What's Love Got to Do With It (1993) and Malcolm X (1992). She has also starred in many television series such as ER, American Horror Story and 9-1-1.
