A couple of hits cost three or four runs and that hurts. It was my first outing in 10 days facing hitters and maybe that cost a little bit. It's not going to be normal after not pitching in 10 days and there were a lot of things going in on my head.
I guess it's good. An outing like today makes me more comfortable on the mound.
Now I'm against the Dodgers, but I feel nothing different because I'm going to face new guys, not former teammates. (Guys like) Jeff Kent. It's not the same guys, so I don't really feel like I'm facing the Dodgers. It's different.
I remember the fans ... But I don't remember how I felt, because I was so excited.
If Japan considers us a rival, as members of the Korean team, that means we are a strong team. We will play Japan, and one of us will win. For me, it will be a splendid experience.
Our goal was to get the win. This was an important win for us. I didn't expect to go three innings but was glad to help the team.
I was trying to refresh myself. Today against Kansas City I was concentrating on my pace, not to get the win. I want to make my body ready for the next [World Baseball Classic] game.
Everyone was concentrating so hard. That [concentration] allowed him to make that play.
I could throw fastballs. That's the reason I could become a major leaguer. But the reason I did well in the major leagues was that I could throw curves and change-ups and I could mix these different types of balls.
It was too bad he couldn't go longer than five innings. But he did a good job, but the manager wanted to use more pitchers.
This is normal, to have pressure. It's how you respond. Take the pressure, use the pressure, have fun.
