The Hall of Fame is so far beyond anything you can dream about that to say that I had a dream about this would be an outright lie
When you get elected into the Hall of Fame, you get elected into a group of elite people who are the top of the top of the game at the professional level. Just to be standing here is an incredible honor for me.

As we look what has transpired in soccer the last 15-20 years, it's incredible to see what's happened
We're truly living in an era where U.S. Soccer is going in a new direction.
I'm now committed to being a part of the progress for U.S. Soccer going forward,.. We can look back at this day as the new beginning of 'Remember Whens.'
[All of the honorees appeared clearly moved by their selection.] We're still adjusting to life after playing... How fortunate I am to be here. The Hall of Fame is so far beyond anything you could dream about. I feel like the luckiest player in the world.
We all kept our composure as much as we could,.. How do you react to being honored this way when you're put among the best of the best forever? It's just incredible.
It's an incredibly difficult situation.. So I'm glad that I went, because we probably saw a couple thousand children in the week I was there -- and if I was able to help even one of them, the trip was worth it.
