Al Goodman (November 22, 1943 – July 29, 2010) was a two-time Grammy Award–winning American music conductor and arranger. He was the music director and an original member of The Rance Allen Group, the highly successful gospel act that he helped start in 1968. He worked as an arranger and conductor with many popular music artists, such as Michael Jackson, the Temptations, the Commodores, Boyz II Men, Luther Vandross, Diana Ross, Sting, Fleetwood Mac, and many more. He was also the musical director for The Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon for twenty years. Goodman worked on over sixty recordings and earned four gold records and two Grammy Awards as an arranger. He was also an ordained pastor.
