Andrew Cuomo
Andrew Cuomo is an American politician and the 56th Governor of New York. He was born on December 6, 1957, in New York City. Prior to becoming Governor, he served as the United States Secretary of Housing and Urban Development from 1997 to 2001 and as the New York Attorney General until 2007. He was the youngest Housing Secretary in United States history, and the first sitting state attorney general to be elected Governor of New York since his father Mario Cuomo in 1982. Cuomo has been credited with spearheading a wide array of laws, including the Marriage Equality Act, minimum wage increases, an earned income tax credit, and tougher gun laws. He is currently running for a fourth term as Governor in the upcoming election.
