It was a total surprise. I had a place to live in Louisville and everything. It was a shock. I just have to get as ready as I can and try to stay up here for a while.

(The pitchers) actually threw more strikes when I went to Triple-A. As long as you can lay off the stuff they were trying to get you to swing at, then you got your pitches to hit.
It's just really an overall feeling of joy. That's the only thing I can say. I feel like I'm a little kid again, playing Little League for the first time.
time feeling joy feel thing
It was a big thrill for them. I took a peek up there after I crossed home plate, and they were all jumping up and down. It was great.
home crossed great big thrill
It's great. I had no idea why they called me in [Friday]. It was like they dropped a bombshell. I took the scenic route, but I'm really excited.
idea great

play
It was a tough loss, but you've still got to give credit to our pitching staff. They've held us together for the first couple of weeks. Once we start holding our own as an offense, we're going to be a pretty strong team.
loss strong start team offense pretty credit give
It's a good sign that we're starting to score runs in bunches.
