They've been meeting since Saturday at the Holiday Inn. Once that's settled, I'm sure we can go through the plant (issues) in a few hours and get ours resolved.

His story was I hit him. I did hit him, but he checked up a little earlier than he had the last four. I don't know whether he was trying to protect the bottom or whatever. It was just a racing deal. I didn't do it on purpose. That's racing. I don't know. I had no intention of hitting him. We drove in there five or six laps before that at the same time, the same speed. Next thing I know, he let off and I hit him. That was the end of that. We'll talk before Classic but I'm not talking to him tonight. I'd be mad too. He has all the right in the world to be mad. I don't blame him a bit for being mad.

I'm here to win. That's just the way were are. I have no problem following him around. He was doing what he had to win and I was doing what I had to do to win. The track did what they had to do. I hit him. They made the right call. They put me in the back and that's the way it is.

I think the streak meant more to the alumni. It was more of a distraction for the players.
