Yeah, it was pretty exceptional. Since the NCAA era, to my knowledge, there's nothing that approaches that.
Todd Wilkinson
As we go forward, we'll play better. We played like a lot of people play the first time out.
people time play forward
We started off kind of sloppy with some fundamental errors. But I was obviously very pleased with the pitching and, defensively, we played good ground-ball defense. And the outfield stepped up and made a couple of big catches.
kind good defense made big errors
He threw the ball down really good in the sixth and seventh innings. Those were his best innings. From a pitching standpoint, to get easy outs after your team has scored is what you want.
good team easy
Our pitchers did an excellent job. I am very pleased. We made several adjustments in trying to pitch to their outstanding hitters. We did a good job of that.
good job made
He is a strike-thrower. In (the CPL), if you throw enough strikes and let the wooden bat take care of itself, you will be OK. He keeps the ball down and is a very good fielder.
good care
His velocity is picking up every week. He's got enough on it that he keeps them honest.
honest
knowledge pretty

numbers critical early give
I can't imagine anybody else in our league that had a win and two saves and pitched in all three conference games while playing shortstop the other bit of the time. He continues to take the ball whenever we ask him to take it, regardless of how early, how long or how late he's played the field.
time games win imagine early
For the way we played, we got exactly what we deserved. We didn't play sound, fundamental baseball. That's the first time in a while we've given up a big inning, and we had our chances to minimize the damage.
sound time baseball play chances big damage
