Albert Pike

Albert Pike was an American lawyer, soldier, writer, and Freemason. He is best remembered for his substantial influence on Freemasonry, having authored the book "Morals and Dogma of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry" in 1871. He served in the Confederate army during the American Civil War, and in 1859 wrote a book on the subject of military tactics. He was also a prolific writer and poet, and wrote many works on philosophy and religion. Pike held membership in numerous international organizations, and an honorary 33° in the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
