Albert Reynolds Quotes

Albert Reynolds

Albert Reynolds was an Irish politician who served as Taoiseach of Ireland for two short terms from 1992 to 1994 and again in 1994 to 1995. He was responsible for initiating the Northern Ireland peace process, which eventually led to the Good Friday Agreement in 1998. He also oversaw economic reforms aimed at increasing foreign investment and completed the Euro currency project. Throughout his political career Reynolds was known for taking an unconventional approach to politics and forging cross-party alliances to get things done. He also maintained close ties with the Irish-American community and was an active advocate of protecting Irish neutrality during the Yugoslav civil wars.
