Alfre Woodard
Alfre Woodard is an American actress, producer, and political activist. She has received four Emmy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild award, among many other accolades. Most recently, she was honored with the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 2021 Golden Globe Awards. Woodard is best known for her roles in films such as Crooklyn, Mississippi Masala, Star Trek: First Contact, and 12 Years a Slave. She has served as executive producer for the TV shows Desperate Housewives, True Blood and State of Georgia. Woodard is also an outspoken advocate for social and civil justice and has been involved with initiatives such as Project Zambi and The Energy Action Coalition.
