Andrew Brunette is a former professional ice hockey player who was drafted in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft by the Washington Capitals, becoming the first player of Haitian descent to play in the National Hockey League (NHL). He spent the majority of his 17-year career with the Capitals, Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks and set The NHL record with all-time most shots taken without scoring a goal (1,026). Brunette had over 500 points during his career, winning the Stanley Cup championship with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2010.
