If he's voting on bills that he has a direct financial stake in, I don't think you can find a clearer conflict of interest than that. I don't think you're going to find a clearer case of somebody voting their own pocketbook.

I find it hard to believe that one of his aides didn't find it salient to know before he voted. If he said he didn't know, then he's just not doing his job. It's just appalling. That's hardly any kind of excuse.

It clearly creates the appearance that somebody could be influenced by their future employer, while they're supposed to be representing the interests of the state of New Jersey and the students of Camden.

It's certainly interesting that again his daughter's working for ultimately oil interests. That's where all the money in Saudi Arabia comes from, after all.
