I've tried to argue the fact that experience and direction and track record are valuable assets. I clearly have some background that she doesn't, but that's part of my argument, that it would take a lot of time for someone to get up to that point.

I favor development in a responsible way, where development pays for itself, is well planned and long-term goals set.

It's a tough and difficult situation. It affects a very minor group of employees. If we're going to do this we need to be as fair and equitable as possible.
