They're in crisis mode. They were paying cash before and then want Medicare to pay for it. It's been a real shock, to say the least.

It's a nightmare. We go into the system, and the system says there is no record of the card-holder.

We call the customer - some older lady or gentleman - and give them the number to call on the help desk of their health plan. The help desk is so overloaded the machine hangs up on them. They can't get any information and we can't get any information.

The reimbursement is less than half our customary rates, and those rates were lower than most pharmacies.
