Alan King
Alan King was an American comedian, actor and film and television producer. He was one of the last remaining stars from the “Borscht Belt” era of comical Jewish humor. He won two Emmy Awards for writing his television show, The Alan King Show, and was nominated for several more. He appeared in dozens of films including Casino and Analyze That, and was an operating partner of a restaurant in New York City. He was known for his fast delivery and jokes about married couples and the hidden adversities of life. King was also an active philanthropist, contributing significantly to charitable organizations such as the United Jewish Appeal and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He passed away in 2004 at the age of 76.
