Alecko Eskandarian
Alecko Eskandarian is a retired Armenian-American soccer player, former head coach and current assistant coach of the United Soccer League’s Toronto FC. He played for D.C. United, Real Salt Lake and Toronto FC in Major League Soccer. He was the first overall pick in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft and won the MLS Cup as a member of D.C. United in 2004. He subsequently took a job as an assistant to D.C. United’s coaching staff and later became head coach of Toronto FC after four successful seasons at the helm. Eskandarian was also capped three times for the US Men’s National Team.
