Alex Karras
Alex Karras was a professional American football player, wrestling promoter, and actor. He played defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions from 1958 to 1970, and was a four-time Pro Bowl selection. He was well known for his comedic roles in movies, most notably as George Papadapolis in the sitcom Webster and Mongo in the Mel Brooks movie Blazing Saddles. In addition to football and acting, he was also a sports announcer for Monday Night Football, the World Wrestling Federation and professional boxing matches. In 2012, he was posthumously inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.
