Allan Kardec
Allan Kardec was a nineteenth century French scholar, educator, and spiritualist. He is most famous as the founder of Spiritism, a philosophical and spiritual movement based on the teachings of the spirit world. He authored several books, including The Spirits' Book, The Book of Mediums, Heaven and Hell, and The Gospel According to Spiritism. Kardec believed in the assumption of reincarnation, phenomena of mediumship, and the existence of a spiritual world beyond our physical world.
