Amelia E. Barr
Amelia E. Barr was a British-American writer, novelist and editor of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. She was one of the first female fiction authors to be successful in the US, having her works published in both the US and the UK. Barr is best known for her novels Deborah, A Heathermoor and Jan Vedder's Wife. Her works primarily centered around themes of religion, strong-minded women, and moral values. She was also a prolific editor and published numerous works of non-fiction, such as The Author's & Publishers' Guide.
