The gaffer has brought in some new players and some do not yet speak English
Barry Ferguson
I am happy the first game in the group stages is at home. Everybody will be up for it with us not having Champions League football for two years. So if we get three points in the first game, then we are away to Milan and you never know what's going to happen over there. Then we've got Artmedia at home in the third game. We could have six or seven points from the first three games.

It is up to myself and Alex Rae and the Scottish boys to let these lads know what they are in for against Aberdeen, first of all, and then after that we'll let them know what to expect in the following game.

You are definitely seeing signs under Walter that we are playing better as a team and with a formation everyone understands. We are getting some momentum going and confidence is high. Norway will be tough, because we put a lot of effort into it against Italy, but I imagine we will just rest up and then be ready to have a bash at them. We are not going to give this up yet.

If that's their chat then it's sour grapes and they are simply searching for excuses

Diego didn't last the game and perhaps people should examine their own performance at times.

So it will obviously take them some time to bed in, but I think we are beginning to show what we can achieve.

[At 31, Mr. Kilpatrick became the youngest mayor ever elected in Detroit. Now 35, he campaigned as a symbol of the future of the city.] He shows a young spirit,.. He's not just focused on right now, he's trying to focus on our future. And if it was up to me, I'd vote for him for the next 16 years.

It's not what you'd want as a player. You want to play in front of 80,000 or 90,000 people. It would have been some experience for the fans as well. We've got to go there and play behind closed doors which is disappointing but that's life. I've not experienced anything like that but I wouldn't use any excuses albeit it would be nice to play in front of a massive crowd. I don't think it's going to happen.
