I'm not coaching and trying to win to keep my job,.. I coach for my players and my coaches and for the fans to have success. Someone is going to have success at Vanderbilt. I hope it's me and this staff. This staff has worked extremely hard. But if it's not, I don't coach out of fear of losing my job.
Bobby Johnson
I can't tell you enough about Jay Cutler. He has got size, he has got strength, arm strength. He can run. He knows what our offense is trying to achieve every time he goes out on the field. I don't know what else you can want in a quarterback. It would have been very easy for him to go into the NFL and leave Vanderbilt behind.
strength time achieve leave offense run easy
He can do some Superman stuff. I'd like to see it.
I'm going to work as hard as I can, our staff is going to work as hard as they can,.. We'll take suggestions. The people who call you idiots and all that stuff, that's not going to make me change anything. They can do that all they want because it's not going to affect the way we go about doing our jobs.
change people work jobs hard call idiots
It wasn't like I said, 'Oh yeah, you guys want me? I'm coming,'.. I look back at it, the staff we were replacing was let go during the season so recruiting was going to be an issue. We knew there were going to be multiple problems.
problems guys
It was a wholesale change,.. There's no simple answer. It's everything, recruiting, player development. The process is ongoing.
change process development simple answer
success fear win losing hard coaching job hope
