I don't think it's so much the number of at-bats as how you are feeling in spring. Sometimes you feel good in 10; sometimes it takes 60.

If [Baker] puts me in the lineup, I'll play. I would want to play. Unless he doesn't write me in the lineup, that's the only way I won't play.

It looked like he was going to have a 1-2-3 inning. That was impressive. The first inning, he was leaving a lot of pitches up. He settled down after that.

You try to take some, but he throws so many strikes. That gets you in the hole. There's not much you can do.
As soon as I heard we might be able to get him, I told him to keep in touch. This morning he called me and he said, 'Yeah, it happened. It's true.' Chicago is going to fall in love with this guy. He is the hardest-working guy I have ever seen. He'll play 162 games unless he breaks a limb. He is going to bring energy to our team. He's just the type of guy that we have needed. He is going to set the table offensively.

If something gets done, great, because I like Chicago and think it's a great place to play. Otherwise I'll just block it out and concentrate on the season.

As of right now, I haven't talked about it. If it comes up, yeah, I think it needs to be done before the season. I don't really want that burden of thought. I want to concentrate on the game.
