Our offense got complacent. We got up by four or five runs and the offense just went stagnant.

We've spent a lot of time outside this year but we didn't show it tonight. We just weren't ready to play physically or mentally.
time play ready
I expect that we'll be ready to play when we go to Oglethorpe on Tuesday.
play ready
You can't win a ballgame averaging nine strikeouts in the lineup and that's about what we had.
win
He threw a complete game win and you can't ask anymore for a freshman. Cain did a wonderful job of keeping the hitters off balance and getting ahead in the count It was his second good performance his first one was in relief against Oglethorpe.
game good balance wonderful count win performance job relief
I was proud to see us come together and put up two strong rallies like that.
strong proud
offense
I knew he was coming. I just wanted to direct him where to slide to. We had a wild-pitch read from our guy on second base, and I saw it was going to be close and I wanted him to get down to the outside and he did.
read close guy
Cain had his second good start for us today.
today good start
I thought the other team did a good job executing with runners in scoring position. They scored a lot of their runs with two outs and we didn't.
thought good team job
Once again I don't think we played bad enough to lose. We got beat today. And there is a big difference. Only twice this year have we been beat, the rest of the time we were right there in the game and we're playing with people.
people time rest game today difference bad lose big beat
