He's battling his mechanics a bit, but when he's right, he's as good as anybody we have. He knows that to win in our league, he'll have to cut (his walks) down... I really wanted him to finish, because he had done such a good job.

The kids played good enough to win but I did not coach good enough to win. Matt (Humphrey) was throwing the ball well enough to keep him out there but we went ahead and brought in Corey (Grist). We give up a hit, and a tough hop on the error and all of a sudden we find ourselves in trouble.
