That price is more of an anomaly. I suspect there may be a psychological barrier at.999 a gallon.

There's no question refining margins are up. But you've got to consider that the refining industry has been in a deep trough for a number of years when margins were small or nonexistent.

We are not interested in making a huge profit for a week or two at the expense of damaging customer relations for a year or two.

As usual, the story is pretty much supply and demand. Gasoline is plentiful across the country, Colorado included. Gasoline usage drops in the winter, and we expect margins to come off pretty sharply.

I think we are seeing a stabilizing effect. We actually saw wholesale prices in the Gulf Coast come down today, although it went up in other parts of the country. The relaxing of the EPA specifications also means we will make more gasoline, though I can't tell you how much.
