It's just 1-on-1 and the game's on the line. I think a lot of guys like to thrive in that situation and I like it a lot.

For myself, it was awful. I just didn't feel like myself. I didn't feel like I did when I was in college.

I've had to make my game more of a speed game. Getting up and down my wall a little quicker, getting myself the room that I need. Instead of kinda sitting and looking for the room, I have to move and create space for myself.
speed game space wall create
It depends on what the goalie is going to do. You react to him.
Just having the chance to put it on the line at the end with the coach putting me out there was a lot of fun. We needed the two points anyway it came and it was a great way to get it.
chance fun end great
guys situation
There have been a lot of days, but we had a couple of team meals, a team day on the pond, a trip to a pool hall. I think the chemistry is starting to come around. We had a lot of (personnel) moves early on in the season, with new guys coming in and out. It's been pretty consistent as of late.
days day starting team guys early chemistry pretty
I've always had kind of a knack for scoring goals. I think I could bring [to Anaheim] a game that you can trust every night.. Doing whatever role [they] think I could fit.
trust game kind night goals
We gave up some bad penalties and the Blues capitalized on all of their chances, and that's what hockey is all about.
bad chances blues
Everything just keeps rolling. It's amazing how early in the season we weren't getting the bounces and now everything coach seems to do is turning into gold.
gold amazing early
