I am trying to review the overall structure of how advising was set up for students compared to the actual process that students go through. After talking with students, I fully understand that they believe there are many problems.

It's been hard not talking and not thinking about (finishing 20-0), but I don't think there's really any more pressure involved. We've already won the league and things are set for the (Division II district) tournament. We've come this far by just focusing on winning one game at a time, the next one. There's no reason to change now.

It's going to be interesting to see where this puts the debate, whether people are going to look at this and say they still did it. I still think people are going to be upset. People are going to be talking about this a long time.

This is just not something for someone who's going to be studying Shakespeare or playing the classics. Fencing has really helped me as an actor in improving my focus and balance. You hear actors talking about 'staying in the moment.' It's really to your benefit to stay in the moment when you've got someone with three feet of steel waving it in front of you.

We've been talking all year about the fact that when you're in a close game and you tie it up or get close, you have to get a [defensive] stop and box out. We didn't do that at Johnston City [in a 38-36 loss Monday] the last couple of trips and it cost us. Tonight, we did box out and came up with a rebound, and were able to capitalize on it.

I thought about home. I actually thought about seeing my family and if I was ever going to be able to see them again. I thought about staying alive and talking with all my other military buddies to get our minds off of what was going on.

Most of the roundtables have been wrapped up in by-laws, but are now moving ahead into substantive stuff and talking about issues. The danger is that the procedural stuff will turn some people off. During the next month or two months, we'll be making the shift from talking about rules and choosing leadership to how we work in a collaborative manner.

[Friday, Latham spent the day in Pocatello, on one of the rare rest days he spends visiting cancer centers around the country. Talking with patients and workers at such centers serves to validate his cause, he said.] You'll be having this day when your back is hurting and someone will tell you their story and there will often be laughter and crying,.. The cancer centers are what it's all about for me.

I think everybody probably can read between the lines and figure it out.. Names are popping up everywhere. For a team that's in a race to make the playoffs, I wouldn't even worry about it. Since we're not, people started talking about it a while ago.
