Al MacInnis is a retired Canadian ice hockey player who played for the St. Louis Blues and Calgary Flames from 1981 to 2004. He is considered one of the greatest defenceman of all-time, winning the Norris Trophy for best defenceman in the NHL in 1999 and earning two First Team All-Star honours. He was also a member of the revered “Triple Gold Club” which consists of players who have won a Stanley Cup, an Olympic gold medal, and a World Championship gold. MacInnis was inducted in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007 as well as the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame in 2001. He finished his career with 340 goals, 934 assists and 1274 points, making him one of the highest-scoring defenceman ever.
