The guys feel bad that he cannot have the senior year he worked so hard for. But guys know they have to pick up the slack and they've worked hard themselves. They're not feeling sorry for themselves. If anything, they are focusing on picking up the slack and doing the job.
Brian Bowers
Van Orden has really come on. He came over from soccer and has worked hard and is blossoming into a strong defensive end. Paski is, too. We don't want to try and do too much, just play assignment football. If he gets out of the pocket, he's scary.

[Dorne broke his leg in a victory over Pequannock last week and Bowers will try to replace the talented senior with a running back-by-committee approach when the Green Wave host DePaul in a battle of two of the NHC-Suburban's best teams this afternoon at 1.] The guys feel bad that he cannot have the senior year he worked so hard for,.. We have a group of kids who all have good skill. It is a matter of finding the right combination and maximizing our ability.

[Quarterback Jack McBride, Chris'cousin, struggled at times against Pequannock but is improving on a daily basis.] He has really solidified himself at quarterback,.. He made a couple of blunders, but he showed leadership ability and is a tremendous athlete and will only get better.
leadership ability improving times made jack
Those five look good and are getting better.

If he gets out of the pocket, he is scary. The bottom line is getting to their quarterback. He can beat you with his feet, he is very accurate and he has some talented receivers (Brian Gambuzza, Greg Gillespie) who he works well with. We have to get to him, beat them up on the front lines, play aggressively and take it to them.
play works scary beat
